Senator Middleton is the author of SB15, the Save Women’s Sports Law, which was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott in 2023. He also led the charge in the Senate in the 2025 Texas Legislative Session on the Coach Kennedy Religious Freedom Law and the Texas Women’s Privacy Act which passed the Senate and had overwhelming support in the Texas House but was never called up for a vote in the Texas House.
