Abbott, Cruz lead values endorsements from Texas Values Action

December 14, 2017

Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Sen Ted Cruz are two of the latest names added to a list of coveted faith and family endorsements from Texas Values Action.

Texas Values Action only endorses candidates who will ensure religious liberty flourishes, families prosper, and every human life is valued in Texas, according to Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values Action.

“We are excited to endorse Greg Abbott for re-election as Governor of the great State of Texas,” Saenz said. “In his time as Governor, Abbott has demonstrated his strong support for faith, family and freedom, and has continually prioritized that support in his legislative agenda.”

Candidates earning an endorsement from Texas Values Action must be able to demonstrate a firm commitment to protecting religious liberty, marriage and family, and innocent human life – values that  Gov. Abbott and Sen. Cruz most certainly have exemplified time and time again, Saenz added.

“Sen. Cruz’s proven leadership and stellar track record on defending and championing religious liberty, marriage, and innocent human life remains unparalleled,” Saenz said. “We believe Cruz will only build on these successes with another term in the U.S. Senate.”
