September 26, 2015

Houston Astros baseball legend Lance Berkman is featured in a new TV ad opposing Houston’s controversial LGBT “Equal Rights” Bathroom Ordinance (or HERO), known as Proposition 1 on the November 3rd ballot. Campaign for Houston Co-Chair Jared Woodfill (a Texas Values Action board member) announced the details on his website earlier today:

Campaign for Houston PAC recently released its first TV spot featuring Houston Astros legend Lance Berkman. As a husband and father of four young girls, Mr. Berkman, like thousands of other Houstonians, expresses the safety concerns he has with an Ordinance that allows troubled men to have access to female restrooms, locker rooms, and showers. In the TV ad, Berkman strongly encourages Houstonians to vote “No” on Proposition 1 – “Bathroom Ordinance.” To see the ad click on the video below and watch six time Major League All Star and World Series Champion Lance Berkman talk about why he is against Proposition 1 – “Bathroom Ordinance.”

Texas Values Action joins with Lance Berkman, our friends at Campaign for Houston and No On Houston Prop 1, and numerous other pastors and concerned citizens across Houston in urging Houstonians to vote NO on Proposition 1 on November 3rd.
