Texas Values Action Endorses Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor

May 18, 2014

Austin, TX – Texas Values Action has endorsed State Sen. Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor of Texas.

Of the endorsement Texas Values Action President Jonathan Saenz said:

“Texas Values Action is proud to endorse Dan Patrick for Texas Lt. Governor. Dan Patrick has demonstrated time and again that he is a leader on the issues of faith, family and freedom. His personal faith and life of public service make it clear that Dan Patrick is the best candidate for this important office. He is a proven pro-life champion, leading the Texas Senate in 2007, 2009 and 2011 in passage of the Texas Sonogram Bill before it was finally passed by the Texas House in 2011 and signed by Gov. Perry.

“Dan Patrick has also been a strong defender of family values, standing up for the state constitutional definition of marriage as between one man and one woman by requesting an Attorney General opinion against government entities that seek to undermine our Constitution on this issue. Dan Patrick’s record of leadership on religious liberty stands tall, specifically having the words “In God We Trust” placed in the Texas Senate Chamber, and he can be counted on to protect the religious liberty of Texans as the attacks on people of faith increase. Dan Patrick stands for and represents everything that is great about Texas.”
