Indiana Gov. Mike Pence Picked for Trump’s Vice President

July 14, 2016

Today, it is reported that Donald Trump selected Indiana Governor Mike Pence to be his Vice Presidential pick for the 2016 election. Before serving as Governor, he was a Member of Congress representing Indiana for over a decade. Gov. Pence has been well-known as a strong pro-life champion and an advocate of Indiana’s marriage amendment that defined marriage as being between one man and one woman.

Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values Action stated, “Values voters will certainly take notice of the selection of well-known faith and family advocate Gov. Mike Pence, by Donald Trump. Because of Gov. Pence’s stance on faith, family, and religious freedom, I expect these issues to be even more at the forefront of this election moving forward. There has never been a more critical and urgent hour for the sanctity of human life, marriage, and our First Amendment freedoms to be respected.”
