Release: 2026 Primary Runoff Endorsements by Texas Values Action

Austin, TX – Texas Values Action is proud to share our endorsements for the 2026 Primary Runoff Election. In the face of increasing attacks on life, religious liberty, marriage, and family, the 2026 Primary Runoff Elections offer an excellent opportunity for Texans to elect principled candidates who will fight for faith, family, and freedom at all levels of government.

Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values Action released the following statement:

“Texas needs an Attorney General who has leadership experience on values-based law, policy and enforcement. That’s what you get with Senator Mayes Middleton.”

Early Voting: Monday, May 18 – Friday, May 22, 2026, 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

Main Election Day: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

Texas Values Action only endorses candidates who demonstrate a firm commitment to protecting innocent life, religious liberty, marriage, and family.

Texas Attorney General: Mayes Middleton

Although Texas Values Action has endorsed in many races, we recognize that our endorsement of Senator Mayes Middleton is an important race for Texans as the Attorney General plays an important role in enforcing laws protecting faith, family, and freedom in the state of Texas. Also, the Texas Attorney General’s Office has approximately 750 attornies and over 3,000 employees total. Mayes Middleton has a proven track record of authoring bills that protect Texas values that have been signed into law such as the Save Women’s Sports Law (2023), protecting women from men competing in women’s sports, and the Texas Women’s Privacy Act (2025), protecting women in private spaces including women’s restrooms, showers and locker rooms.
