Release: Primary Runoff Election Results Reveal Support for Faith, Family, & Freedom in Texas

May 26, 2026

Austin, TX, May 26, 2026 – Results from today’s Statewide Texas Primary Runoff Elections reveal an incredible amount of support for faith, family, and freedom in Texas. Texas Values Action made endorsements in several key races, most notably the Texas Attorney General race, where we endorsed Mayes Middleton. With Mayes Middleton advancing to the General Election in November, Texas is positioned to continue advancing women’s privacy in restrooms, locker rooms and showers; women’s safety and fairness in sports; and religious liberty in public schools.

Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values Action released the following statement:

“This MAGA Mayes victory is a massive win for Texans. The Texas Attorney General’s Office is one of the most important offices in our state and with Mayes, we know faith, family, and freedom will continue to be a top priority.”

Other Texas Values Action endorsed candidates who won the primary runoff elections include:

  • Jon Bonck for U.S. Congress, (TX-38)
  • Thomas Smith for Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 3

Texas Values Action only endorses candidates who demonstrate a firm commitment to protecting innocent life, religious liberty, marriage, and family.
