Texas Values Action Makes Staff Announcement for 2017 Session

Today, Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values Action, announced Nicole Hudgens has been promoted to Policy Analyst for Texas Values Action for the upcoming 2017 Texas Legislative Session. Ms. Hudgens has been serving as State Outreach Coordinator, and has also worked in communications for the organization since 2015. Veterans Jonathan Saenz and David Walls will continue to be a part of the Texas Values Action team.

Before joining Texas Values and Texas Values Action, Hudgens worked in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Congressman John Fleming (LA-04). Hudgens also has worked for the Family Research Council in communications, and the Heritage Foundation’s Young Leader’s Program. She has worked in television and radio, and her writing has been featured in Townhall and The Texas Tribune. Hudgens has been quoted in The New York Times, USA Today, and many state and local media outlets. She is a Texan by birth and graduated in 2011 from Louisiana State University with a degree in Speech Communications. Hudgens is currently earning her master’s degree in Public Policy from Liberty University.

Jonathan Saenz stated, “Nicole will play a key role as a legislative advocate, strategist, and lobbyist for us this upcoming session. She has been a strong advocate for Texas Values defending pro-life, marriage, and religious freedom issues. Her leadership in Fort Worth helped achieve the victory for privacy and dignity for students, and her current work in Dripping Springs on behalf of parents and students is truly making an impact.”
