Yesterday, Governor Greg Abbott stated his support for the Pastor/Clergy Protection Bill, SB 2065 by Sen. Craig Estes (the companion House bill is HB 3567 by Rep. Scott Sanford). The Governor stated in a tweet, “Pastors’ religious liberty to perform weddings must be protected. I hope to see this bill on my desk.”
