Texas Values Action Endorses Charlie Garza for Texas House

September 28, 2016

Charlie Garza endorsement graphicTexas Values Action proudly endorses Carlos “Charlie” Garza for the Texas House of Representatives, House District 101 (SE Tarrant County). Garza is a decorated twenty-year military veteran of the United States Navy’s elite submarine service and is a former elected member of the State Board of Education. As an education administrator, Garza has also served as an Assistant Superintendent, Principal, and Assistant Principal at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He is challenging the incumbent Chris Turner (D-Arlington) in the November 8 General Election.

“Charlie Garza will be a strong, pro-family conservative in the Texas House. Garza’s distinguished service to our nation in the Navy, on the State Board of Education and as a teacher and administrator, demonstrates his strong commitment to servant leadership. With Charlie Garza in the Texas House, the people of House District 101 would gain a strong advocate for faith, family, and freedom,” said Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values Action.

Rep. Chris Turner was one of the lowest scoring legislators in the 2015 Faith and Family Scorecard (8%). The Faith and Family Scorecard is a critical education and accountability resource for Texas voters to see how state legislators voted on issues impacting religious freedom, marriage and family, and life.

Early Voting: October 24 – November 4

Election Day: Tuesday, November 8
