Texas Values Action Endorses Valoree Swanson for Texas House

January 25, 2016

Valoree Swanson endorsement graphicTexas Values Action proudly endorses Valoree Swanson for the Texas House of Representatives, House District 150. Swanson is a long time conservative activist and community leader having previously served on the State Republican Executive Committee and as a Precinct Chair. Valoree and her family are active members at WoodsEdge Community Church where they have served in numerous ministries. Swanson is challenging longtime incumbent Debbie Riddle in the March 1 Republican Primary.

“Valoree Swanson can be trusted to fight for the values that matter to Texans. Her long history of activism supporting religious freedom, marriage, and innocent human life shows she has the values to represent House District 150 well. With Valoree Swanson in the Texas House, Texans will have a pro-family conservative that can be counted on to do the right thing,” said Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values Action.

Rep. Debbie Riddle scored in the bottom-half of Republicans in the 2015 Faith and Family Scorecard (76%). During the 2015 session, Riddle voted for a bill that would have infringed the First Amendment free speech rights of conservative non-profits and potentially even churches. Texas Values Action helped lead efforts to defeat the bill.

Early Voting: February 16 – February 26

Primary Election Day: March 1
