The Texas House Republican Caucus voted today to elect Dennis Bonnen as the new Speaker of the House. Texas Values Action eagerly awaits fresh leadership in the State House and stands ready to work with Speaker Bonnen.  In 2017, as a Representative, Bonnen received an 86% rating from Texas Values Action, co-authored the House version of the Privacy bill in both the regular and special session (HB 2899, HB 50), coauthored the Freedom to Serve Children Act (HB 3859) , and cosponsored the Dismemberment Abortion Ban (SB 8).
