Scare the Establishment

October 31, 2017

It’s Halloween, and we have a great opportunity to “scare” the Liberal Establishment that has been running the Texas House.

As I shared last week, Liberal Speaker Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) and House State Affairs Chairman Byron Cook (R-Corsicana) recently announced they are not running for re-election.

Right now, we are $4,700 short of our end of October budget goal. Your immediate support will equip us to hold even more elected officials accountable and ensure the Straus/Cook Establishment Machine is ended for good in the Texas House.

Remember, by failing to pass the Texas Privacy Act this past legislative session, these “Republicans” put our families’ safety and privacy below their allegiance to the Hard Left and pro-LGBT, social-justice warriors.

Let’s not be tricked — now is the time to get engaged like never before.

Because if we don’t, something truly scary could happen…another Establishment-backed candidate could become Speaker. Someone like Rep. John Zerwas (R-Richmond), who announced his bid for Speaker immediately following Straus’ announcement.

Zerwas is a Straus ally, was a vocal opponent of the Texas Privacy Act throughout the legislative session, and failed our Faith & Family Scorecard with a frightening score of 56%. I encourage you to checkout our 2017 Faith & Family Scorecard to see how your legislators scored, if you haven’t already. Some of the scores might scare you.

We can’t let this opportunity to secure true conservative leadership in the Texas House pass us by.

Your immediate support will equip Texans across the state with our Faith & Family Scorecard and support other important work, like vetting legislative candidates ahead of the upcoming primary election.

With our targeted online ads, every $100 given will help us reach 8,000 more Texans. $1,000 will allow us to reach 80,000. Even $25 can help us reach 2,000 more Texans. Please click here to give.

Thank you in advance for your support to equip our fellow Texans and hold our elected officials accountable.
